Washington Square Park Annual Parterre Display

Sometimes a native perennial garden is neither affordable nor appropriate. In this historic public park, $400 in annuals made a lovely parterre display.

Planted in 2010 with the best volunteers, marigolds and celosia ignite the garden, as is only fitting for fabulous Greenwich Village. Artichokes echo the iconic fountain at the center of the park.
